The word 'Iconic' seems to be slightly over used at the moment, however it is the only way to describe the original Mini! Made from 1959 until 2001 it is one of the most recognised cars, not just in the UK but around the world. The 80's and 90's saw a whole host of special editions to revive the 25+ year old design including this, the Mini Equinox of which 750 were made in either Amaranth Purple, charcoal grey or platinum silver.
This Charcoal Grey example was supplied new on August 5th 1996 by Horners of Burnley to a Mrs Margaret Monkhouse who kept the car until January 2000. It passed through several owners in the Fleetwood area until 2007 when it was purchased by a gentleman from Hebden Bridge. By 2010 it was in need of a refresh and was taken off the road for a full restoration which was completed in January 2020 which saw it pass its first MOT for a decade. Photos of the restoration are included in the history file and the car looks fantastic, with the help of a white roof and brand new white Minilite style wheels. The 'Moon and Stars' upholstery and black birdseye maple dash make the car a real talking point.
All books and manuals are included and the car will come with 12 months MOT.
