This amazing, low mileage Ford Escort 4 Door (formerly know as the Orion) has been in the same family from new and it is clear that it has been cherished. The first owner won a 1.3 Escort 5dr as a prize in the Ford Sports & Social Club Lottery and chose to pay extra to upgrade to an LX Saloon with the 1.6 Zetec engine. As a veteran Ford Employee he enjoyed the car in his retirement clocking up just 11,280 miles before his death in 2010. His son then took ownership of the car and kept it in a dark, dry garage until 2022 when he decided to have the car recommissioned. The invoice in the history file shows that the car was treated to a new timing belt, a full fluid change, new air and oil filter, drain old fuel and replace fuel filter, strip and clean all brakes, replace brake fluid and fit two new front tyres. As a result the car drives beautifully and has covered 1,000 miles since recommissioning.
The car is in excellent condition throughout with some minor bumper scuffs that have been touched in and some tiny marks to the body work. This would be a great addition to the collection of any Ford enthusiast.
